Fresh Herb Fettuccine Alfredo... kind of
Step 1... Ingredients
- milk
- basil (Ocimum basilicum)
- green onions (Allium fistulosum)
- Italian parsley (Petroselinum crispum)
-Parmesan
-no salt butter
spaghetti noodles
Step 2... Chop up the herbs
Step 4... put Parmesan, butter, and milk into a heated pot
Step 5... watch it melt
Step 6... put the cut up herbs in the dairy pot
Step 7... cook some noodles
Step 8... look at it all mixed together, wow herbs
Step 9... drain the pasta
Step 10... put sauce on the pasta and eat! I promise you it tasted way better than it looked
Do I think herbs improved the dish? Will I cook with herbs again?
- Definitely yes. Fettuccine Alfredo is my one dish and even though I kind of messed up this meal because I was too cheap to buy heavy cream, it still tasted much better better than my usual noodle dish. The taste had a lot more depth, and it tasted even a bit healthy, not just like a ton of cheese over noodles.
- I will definitely cook with herbs again if I ever have the energy to endure the extra steps (I'm a pretty lazy cook).
